In 1983 our founder Tom Jordan, created Michael Thomas Furniture. The intent with this first collection was to create custom upholstery that was built on the foundation of impeccable quality and exquisite tailoring.

Today The MT Company is still family owned and operated. Collectively we have five core collections each created to address a unique customer and their individual style.

Carrying an a proud tradition of excellence, our materials, design, and construction techniques combine to create the highest quality custom built upholstered furniture in the industry. Based in High Point, NC, each piece is hand-crafted by our skilled artisans. Through the years many things have changed but our focus on quality, selection and our commitment to American made furniture remains at the core of who we are.
